Fire Risk Assessments

Complying with fire legislation – A brief guide to The Regulatory Reform

The Fire Safety Order came into effect on 1 October 2006 and consolidated over 100 pieces of fire legislation. Fire Certificates are no longer required, but the Fire Brigade is still responsible for enforcement of the fire safety legislation. Building on the requirements of 1997’s amended Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations, every business has to carry out a fire risk assessment and take a proactive approach to minimise the risk of fire, and the spread of fire.

As a nationwide fire consultancy, Riskas can provide comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment services for businesses of any size. Our consultants have all held senior ranking positions within the fire brigade spending many years within fire safety and prevention and are members of various associations including the Institution of Fire Engineers and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management. You will have peace of mind knowing your site has been assessed, with total objectivity, by an expert.”
